Michael Pettitt

Hi, my name is Michael Pettitt, and I am a Manitoba Certified Arborist as well as an ISA Certified Arborist. My educational background in Chemistry allows me to see trees a little differently. I find it fascinating how the chemical compounds released by an infected tree can attract insects and how pesticides interact with pests at a chemical level when applied.

My passion for chemistry even extends beyond trees. The chemical changes that occur during the fermentation process of plant material in wine and beer are equally captivating—especially when I can experience those changes firsthand with my taste buds!

I’ve been proud to be part of the Green Drop Trees team for 7 years. In the summer, I focus on tree health care, while in the winter, I dedicate my time to pruning and removal work. I also enjoy taking on special projects that allow me to combine my unique perspective and expertise.
