Matt Vinet

Hello, my name is Matt Vinet. My journey in urban forest management spans over a quarter of a century, with a focus on community engagement, management, and frontline service delivery. My commitment to the green spaces of our communities is a testament to my long-standing service.

I took my first steps into the field of arboriculture with Green Drop Ltd. in 1994. At the time, it stood as Canada’s largest privately-owned lawn and tree care company. Shortly after joining the team, I pursued further academic enrichment and completed the Landscape Technician Apprenticeship program at Red River College. Soon after, I acquired my ISA certification.

For the past 25 years, I’ve held the privilege of serving at Green Drop Ltd. It’s been an honor to help communities and individuals across Western Canada understand and value the myriad benefits and services that trees bestow upon us. Green Drop Ltd. has been a beacon for clients seeking adept management of their urban forest assets. Our clientele encompasses municipalities, businesses, and organizations, each with varying scales and budgets. We firmly believe in the ethos of building, preserving, and nurturing our communities’ urban forests, and our strategies are deeply rooted in community involvement and outreach.
