Karena Hui

Karena combines expertise in urban forestry, public engagement, marketing, project management and data analysis. She holds master’s degrees in Forest Ecosystem Science and Marketing and has completed IAP2 training in public participation and conflict management. Karena has coordinated public and stakeholder engagement for municipal urban forestry projects across Canada, including surveys, interactive mapping, presentations and targeted outreach. She has also managed multidisciplinary urban-tree research initiatives and co-developed an internationally recognized tree-monitoring system. Her ability to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible language helps communities participate meaningfully in urban forest planning.
