Esteban Solano Leon

Hola! I’m Esteban, and greetings from Costa Rica! I joined the Calgary tree family in 2024 winter, and I absolutely love the work atmosphere here.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Engineering and a Post-Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry Management from Costa Rica. In 2022, just one year before moving to Calgary, I completed my Master’s Degree in Arboriculture and Forest Management in Spain. I am also proud to be an ISA Certified Arborist.

Throughout my career, I’ve developed tree planting plans, tree inventories, and urban forest management plans for various cities and towns in Costa Rica. I’m excited to bring that experience to Calgary. Alberta’s unique climate and soil present challenges for tree survival, and I’m glad to contribute my knowledge and expertise in urban forestry to help the trees thrive here.
