Edwin Langenbach

Hallo, my name is Edwin Langenbach. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and followed my girlfriend (now wife) to Winnipeg four years ago, where I began my journey as an arborist. Isn’t it romantic? I am an ISA Certified Arborist with a degree in GIS.

I absolutely love trees—their beauty never ceases to amaze me. During the summer, I work on tree inventory and planting projects, while in the winter, I focus on Dutch Elm Disease (DED) removals using our state-of-the-art grapple truck.

All tree locations are meticulously documented in our online GIS system. Every single tree has its own “patient record,” where I can check when it was planted, watered, or treated. I’m proud that Green Drop Trees adopted the GIS system many years ago, as it has become an invaluable tool for managing urban forests.
